66,736 apps processed in 2007.
379,410 apps processed in 2016.
386,210 in 2017.
339,278 in 2018.Figured I’d share that info.
Form4: RC2 SilencerShop Trust
Purchased 4/18/19
Pending 5/8/19
APPROVED yesterday 4/26/20 (SUNDAY)
Waiting on stamp as of now, and guessing from others it’s gonna be another 3-6 weeks 🙁 - 12/13/2019 at 1:13 pm #106139
This reply has been reported for inappropriate content.
Seriously just call as often as you damn well please. This unconstitutional tax alone doesn’t justify not hounding the landline of me trying to find out where my app is in the process.
The fudds trying to defend this institution to any degree are the ones who would impose gun legislation and taxes if they were office.

NFA Branch today was unable to transfer my call to my examiner per the Govt Shutdown. So clearly the shutdown id affecting some things NFA related. My particular case seems to be affected simply bc my Form 4 was approved on Dec. 19th and as of today (1/2/19), no stamp. Which isn’t terribly long but its clear to me that if my examiner is not in the office, examiners are unable to stamp and send out approvals to their mailing dept. Whatever..

Spoke with examiner yesterday. Currently at 7.5 months. I saw on here of a guy who sent in his copies of “closed dispositions” to examiner to send to FBI for expedited review for his previous arrest records (he was waiting 500+ days). As I have been approved for an NFA item previously, it took 11 months. Fearing that dreadful wait again, I was proactive and my examiner said she will accept any closed case files to send to FBI if I can provide them. She said “hopefully” it will expedite your review. Hoping and praying but hey, who the hell knows. My files were sent today (12/14/18). Update to follow

An assault charge from all most ten years ago that was dismissed. I have a CFP and have never been delayed on gun purchases. It may have been an issue with my paperwork or finger print cards.
Brad keep us updated. Im afraid that your denial of an NFA item wasn’t bc of your figerprints or paperwork as they send out notifications to dealer if things need to be corrected. If your assault charge was dismissed, it leans in your favor UNLESS it was a chargeable offense that carried a jail time of LONGER than a year. If that doesn’t sound like your case, my guess is the FBI could not retrieve your records. For example, your name comes up on an arrest in whatever county and they request the closing status of the incident and DO NOT get a reply… they deny. My understanding is that they give that court a certain amount of time to respond, once expired.. they deny. Start requesting the “certified copy of the disposition” of your case. Once retrieved, contact your examiner and ask to email her a copy. Only advice I can think of..

VICTORY!!!!
540 days from check cashed to approval. Moral of the story is all of us need to be involved and bring these ridiculous wait times to the attention of our Representatives. My Rep had no clue that people were waiting this long and it seems that questioning the Justice Department may have been the answer to at least get someone to look for my application. Probably buried in the backseat of someone’s car.
Hunter congrats!, quick questions. I recently too have been in contact with Senator and is inquiring info from the DOJ per his last email. Question is should I anticipate getting my tax return from last year ready to send him? Is it just the latest filed tax year they want? Any info in advance would help as I am in the same boat…not as long as you though at 500+ days geeze thank you in advance
