• Form 4 Individual:
    Obsidian 45
    Check cashed 11.10.17
    Approved 5.8.18
    Stamp Received ??? (Hoping Today!!!)

  • 2 Form 4 Trusts (1 RP and myself)
    Check Cashed: 7.10.17
    Approved : 2.22.17

These are my first two items ever!!! I can’t freaking wait to get them!!!

  • Bingo. For the longest time Individuals were FLYING and Trusts were still at a snail’s pace. They mentioned toward the end of last year they were shuffling resources to get Trusts closer to Individual times.

  • My first two NFA items have pending dates of 7-10-17. Sounds like we are getting close. However, it seems like this website is less active than it was a few months ago. Also sounds like people are having issues with FBI wait times which is a bummer to hear. I hope these two things aren’t signs that things are slowing again.

  • Yeah, I took it with a grain of salt, but at some point they have to switch focus away from individuals.

  • Just an FYI. I called to get control numbers on 2 of my trust items and talked to a supervisor (Russ I believe). Stephanie passed me on to him since I had the wrong Serial Number (I wrote it down wrong). He told me that Trusts should start picking up as they have moved about 2/3 of the staff to Trusts now to try and catch up to Individuals. He…[Read more]

  • That is what I did. I have 3 items sitting out on trusts waiting (2 July 2017, 1 September 2017). For my 4th I went individual. I expect to my by individual back WAY before the trusts.

  • Just did the same. I have 3 trust items sitting out there (2 July and 1 September). I just sent an Individual a week ago since they are going so fast. I’m not done with trusts but I just wanted to have something to mess with while I wait. I figured I’ll end up with a check cash date sometime in November so I’ll be looking for an approval around…[Read more]

  • I was in your shoes a few months ago. I made my first 2 NFA item purchases together. Sent the paperwork in May and started freaking out in June. I sent Money Orders at the advise of my dealer so it wasn’t easy to track “cash dates” either. It ended up taking them until July 10th to cash the checks and another week or so to get my info into the…[Read more]

  • I didn’t even know “solvent traps” were a thing. Have I been cleaning my guns wrong all these years? Do people really have a problem with debris flying everywhere while cleaning? I lay down a gun cleaning mat ($10-$15), make sure the barrel and chamber are over said mat and clean away.

Not trying to make fun of people, but dang, “solvent traps”, lol?

  • $200 for the Trust Stamp. Otherwise no.

  • I’m in the same boat. Bought an SBR and Suppressor and sent in May (check didn’t cash until early July, not sure why). Since then I bought another Suppressor (check cashed end of September) and am in the process of buying another which will give me 2 30 cal rifle suppressors and 1 45 cal pistol suppressor. However, I am sending my pistol…[Read more]

  • I believe it was the SHARE Act that was shelved (since it was due to be voted on by the House). Now some people seem to think when Ryan spoke that it came off as he was killing it. Others got the impression that it was being tabled until things calm down from this shooting (which I hate to say it, but is the correct response cause it would never…[Read more]

  • This is the slippery slope we have to be concerned about. I have no desire for full auto, bump stocks or binary triggers (don’t even know what that is). Part of me wants to say “yep, make them illegal cause I think they are far more dangerous than standard semi-autos and bolt guns.” HOWEVER, “If you give an inch they will take a mile” immediately…[Read more]

  • So…the actions of ONE rich guy who lost his mind is going to condemn the millions of average joes who responsibly own guns? Awesome. I love politics!!!!

I’m super stoked though…I should be getting my NFA items back around the time this $#!T storm calms down and gun prices start to fall again…oh and ammo prices will come down…oh and ammo…[Read more]

  • yeah, it was hard to listen to. I listened long enough to hear the first round of gunshots and stopped. The worst part is, if fully auto, he more than likely didn’t obtain it legally but will still be used against the gun community.

That is something that never seems to be addressed by the anti-gun groups. If a person decides to commit a crime…[Read more]

  • They can definitely use this against us, but facts are facts. He used non-suppressed firearms (based off listening to the shots on the video it was full auto or bump-fire cause it was too fast and consistent to be semiauto) and accomplished (don’t mean that in a positive way) one of the largest mass shootings in US history.

    Pointing to this…[Read more]

  • Just a guess, but it may be that the drastic spike (and extremely rushed) submitted trusts at 41f deadline is still the cause. I would assume with the mass panic (which was incredibly absurd) caused many to not dot all I’s and cross all T’s which means there are a lot of corrections needed. I know the incorrect submissions keep their place in line…[Read more]

  • Wonder why the flood gates opened for Individuals but not trusts? Seems liked they pushed through the 41f bubble and Individuals are flying, but Trusts stayed at a snails pace and the wait times are still INCREASING.

  • What is the difference between the standard firearm background check and the ATF required background check? If they aren’t checking fingerprints, and the “trust” is kind of a formality (more than likely most use the cheap premade ones that don’t really cover much) what is really being accomplished other than $200 for the ATF and making people wait a year?
