  • Hey John, I logged in to reply to your post specifically. I do not see an update from you. My Dealer called me this morning and I promptly went and retrieved my Silencer. Approved February 6th in hand February 19th, 13 days. I’ll be thinking about you but I may not be returning to post here until I decide to wait out another Form 4 which may…[Read more]

  • It’s gut wrenching. This is the first morning I’m starting to read through various posts of several people who’ve had stamps approved later than mine and have their stamps in hand. Obviously, John, the concern for you weighs much heavier as it’s been far too many delivery days, even for the USPS, for something to not have gone wrong. I’m not…[Read more]

  • Hi John, Interesting. Disappointing to read actually. I did call my dealer this afternoon again. I admit I called yesterday also. I am trying to avoid jumping to conclusions so soon. They said today they received their first two stamps since the re-open. Neither of which of course had my name. I asked the Rep. for just the approval dates of the…[Read more]

  • Still considering the shutdown it appears they are back to being in chronological order and are deyond mid May by now? The shutdown had the effect of being a pause button. It also appears approvals are dated on weekend days and not just M – F. Examiners working weekends and extra hours? I’d bet you’re next in line?

  • John, I’m sorry to read that your approved stamp hasn’t been delivered. Where are you located? Sorry, I re-read above, Billings MT. My folks reside outside Cody WY and believe it or not have amazingly predictable USPS delivery.

hallnh, I would be livid pissed. This entire time I’m thinking my brand new suppressor is sitting in the dealer safe…[Read more]

  • I’ve been reviewing other posts and the Reddit mega-thread on February approvals. Trying to placate my mind about when I may get “the” call. Along with comparing USPS product delivery maps and the calendar. There are just too many variables to make a good guess as to when the stamp is actually handed off to the USPS and when the mail will…[Read more]

  • Silencer Shop purchase Surefire SOCOM 556RC2 April 17th 2018.
Silencer Shop Order details indicate check cashed May 14th 2018.

Called NFA Branch Office Feb. 12th @ 12:20 PM MT. Advised APPROVED February 6th 2019. Last Wednesday.

I feel like heading over to the Dealer every day at mail time and watch out for my stamp. During prior visits I’ve…[Read more]

  • Congrats John. It’s a relief to read about these approvals. Yours approved last week even. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and reach out to the branch office Monday.

  • Other than calling in and receiving the same details as hallnh added above. Thanks for posting, hallnh. I gotta say this is the best news I’ve read thus far. The check for my Form 4 Individual cashed May 14th also. I’m a coward and cannot really say how I’d cope if I called myself and got the phone rep. having a bad day or hates the job and just…[Read more]

  • I called the NFA Branch 304-616-4500 and spoke with Britney(?) she provided me a status of Pending for my Surefire Form 4 Individual, check cashed May 14th 2018. I asked her about processing applications during the Government Shut down and she said they aren’t sure how each Form 1 or 4 is being processed but they are working on a contingency…[Read more]
