      Does the ATF always assign a UPIN to each individual on a trust?
      If so, once a UPIN has been assigned do fingerprints need to be filed for future tax stamps?

      No, a UPIN is a “special” number that you have to seperately apply for. It is used to differentiate between individuals with the same name, etc. It is a “unique designator” that is entered on future applications that “supposedly” prevents delays in the review process because of individuals having the same name and possible criminal background records that might cause an application to be delayed/denied. You apply for a UPIN through the FBI, so search their website on how to do it…
