Silencerco buy one get one from July

Just curious if anyone took advantage of the Silencerco buy one get one back in July and if they have heard anything from Silencerco about it. They said it was gonna take up to 4 months and that came as of last week… just wondering if anyone has heard anything what so ever.
A few days after posting this I sent them an email and asked and their response was that that the sale was much more than they anticipated and they are manufacturing them as fast as they can… and they couldn’t be serialized with the government being shut down. They said that they are planning on having them completely shipped out in the next couple of months…. so they are working on them… just taking longer since the response was more than anticipated…. plus waiting on permission from the crown.
I bought an Omega 300 on June 30, 2018, which qualified me for a free Octane 9. According to my account at Silencershop, tax stamp cashed for the Omega on 7-16-18, and sent to dealer on 8-8-18.
Got a message from SS on 1-8-19 to go and update stuff at the kiosk for the Octane. Actually didn’t even need to do that, just needed to update pic on their ap. Got an invoice for the stamp on 1-9-19 for the Octane, and tax stamp cashed on 2-5-19.
Have not gotten approval on either. I’m hoping I’m close on the Omega. I’ll stop by next week and ask my dealer if the Octane has been shipped to them yet. From what I understand, the free ones were coming directly from Silencerco, and not via Silencer Shop. Thus, I can see when the Omega was mailed to dealer via my SS account, but don’t think they’d have any idea at SS when they shipped if they’re coming direct from Silencerco, so nothing shows in my SS account on the Octane.
Well… got inpatient after my last post and did some googling and came across this article…

Broke down and called my FFL, he said he just had 8 show up yesterday and the individuals knew about them through email prior.
He asked me to hold one a moment while he checked to see if he had more show up today and sure enough there was a box with 2 Octane 45’s in it, and one had my name on it. I never got any kind of notification from SilencerCo… I just happen to get lucky…. I guess stay in contact with your FFL…
Meanwhile, the 24th will be 11 months waiting on my Osprey 45 I purchased…
Last I spoke to someone at Silencerco, I was told that June 29th should be the end of everybody’s waiting. He said they should have all the promotional cans sent out by then.
The whole thing seems crazy to me. I purchased my Omega on the very first day of the promotion and immediately began completing the promotion process. How I’m at the end of the list escapes me!
The 29th? I’ll believe it when I see it. I spoke to my FFL 2 weeks ago, and he told me they were expecting 29 promotional cans and only 3 had been sent to them so far!!! Oh well, I guess I’ll get it when i get it…maybe.
What was your free can? Mine was a Octane 45 and my FFL said that he had 8 show up monday and 2 yesterday… It seems like the Octane is what is taking the longest… I would check with your FFL again, just to see. Like I said, according to my FFL and SilencerCo, I should have been notified that my suppressor shipped, and I never got a email. My FFL even went so far as to read my email address off the paperwork for the can ensuring they had it correct…
Seems like ball is being dropped heavily. But at same time, I saw a reddit post where someone said like 13,000 people took advantage of the B.O.G.O. deal…
Best thing to do is call your FFL. I got an email from SilencerShop saying my purchase was ready to for my signature, and I had to stop and think; I didn’t buy anything and then it dawned on me that my free one had finally arrived. Needed to update pic and pay for a stamp. Paperwork mailed on 5/30.
Also had a buddy take advantage of the promotion and he did it through his shop. He called and found out that his van had been there for a week but they were being audited so they had not put it in inventory. Sounds like BS to me and man was he pissed. They made him wait a couple more days before he could do his paperwork. So call your shop if you didn’t do it through SSI must have lucked out, as I got a call from my FFL and my Octane 45 just arrived today, almost a year after I sent in my paper work for the promotion.
Now comes the HARD part, dealing with the MAMMOTH wait with the lazy arse ATF to get my tax stamp approved. So with the current wait time between 250 to 300 days, I should be able to get my hands on my silencer mid 2020.
I know good things come to those who wait, but waiting around 2 YEARS for my “free” silencer… Urgh!
I think it seems like the Octane is the hold up… any one else notice they do not offer it on their website any longer? I am gonna try and go Saturday and pay up…. too bad I cant just do it online since it is through SilencerShop.
250-300 seems low end… I am sitting at 332 since check cashed waiting on my initial purchase… Monday will be 11 months since check cashed. I call the NFA and I am still “PENDING”. It has been 11 months, why am I still sitting in the pile while others are being approved from July right and left?
Yeah, but it is “FREE”, gotta remember the phrase, dont look a gift horse in the mouth.
Wow coagula13. That sucks that they stopped making the Octane. It’s the best pistol suppressor they make (or used to make!). Easy to take apart and clean, and very quiet.
I bought an Omega 300 on June 29, 2018 from Silencershop and selected the Octane 9 as my freebie (because I already own an Octane 45). SS sent me a note to go to the kiosk in January to complete forms for the Octane 9.
Received my Omega 300 approval in mid May, right at the 10.5 month mark. Double checked with my FFL that the Octane 9 was indeed there, and he confirmed that it was.
I would not have known that the Octane was shipped had I not purchased from Silencershop, and their system letting me know that it was time to do more forms. So, for everyone that bought from somewhere else, it’s worth checking with your FFL to see if SilencerCo has already shipped it to your FFL.
I got the 45 because it can be swapped to a 9… rather be able to go down than not be able to go up.
I need to decide on a suppressor for my 6.5 creedmore… Just trying to decide if I want something I can put on my Tavor or not… I’d like one that didnt throw gas back in my face.
yeah, I purchased mine like a week after you… I really wonder if they are just telling me it is pending and not actually looking, if that makes sense.
I had no clue it had been shipped or arrived had I not called my dealer. He asked if I got a email and I said no, he looked on the box and it had my correct email address on it… He was a little perplexed by it. I bought it through my dealer, but I used SilencerShop for the form4.
I just looked at my SilencerShop account and it does not even say anything about the Octane 45… So weird.
My free octane 9 showed up at my dealer yesterday. Form 4 sent out today. Still haven’t been approved for the omega 300 with check cash date 7/29/18
Octane 9 & Spectre II Freebies showed up a my dealer on 6/27/19.
Omega 300 & Omega 9k purchases approved by ATF 6/27/19.I had bet’s on which would be first, but I guess they tied.
Now waiting for stamps in hand to pick up purchases and check cashing confirmation on the freebies.
The wait continues…..
Yep, still waiting. Somehow they lost my dealers info, had to have him resend it. Called them this week and it was so sad. I have a case number and the man on the other end did not even ask for it. I asked if they recieved the info and they could not even tell me that. What a joke,
