Since its a good round number and well over the “8 months” mark, I thought I would start a thread for the over 400 day crowd to see just how many of us there are.

I’m a member. Form 4 individual – Paper, no control number.

    Cashed: 09-18-2017
    FBI: Before 03-xx-2018
    Letter to Rep: 02-07-2019

    511 days as of today.

I just signed the tax disclosure consent form today. My Rep’s staff seems to really be on top of this.

    Update:
    Cashed: 09-18-2017
    FBI: Before 03-xx-2018
    Letter to Rep: 02-07-2019

    561 days as of today.

My rep has been pretty useless. His office inquired until they got this canned response from ATF:

The processing time for a perfected ATF Form 4 application is at least 10 months, and can of course be longer if the form has some issues (i.e., is not perfected). Factors influencing the backlog include: 1) the implementation of the 41F Final Rule, which requires ATF to perform full criminal background checks on all individuals who are identified as a Responsible Persons of a trust or legal entity; 2) changes to various state laws which have in the past disallowed possession of certain NFA firearms and now those states are enacting legislation which would now allow possession and the volume of silencer transfers has increased tremendously. At this time, ATF is experiencing a backlog of over 125,000 applications.

In 2016, ATF received more than 379,410 applications; in 2017, ATF received 386,210 applications; and in 2018, ATF received 339,278 applications.

    “ATF received 339,278 applications.”

So over 67 million in revenue. and they still can’t get it right.

ATF recieved on 4/2/18 as of last week my paperwork is still setting on the examiners desk, said she has not got the approval to send it to the FBI. The examiner was however nice enough to give me there direct phone number to call back and check next month instead of talking to a different person every time you call just to get some B.S. story

to call back and check next month

Next month? Wow what a deal.

Not in the club yet with my Efile but calling today still has the shutdown being blamed. 120 days and some approved in 20 days.

Frankly the calltakers are in the dark as much as the callers.

      4/2/19 was one year.
Update, talked to lady that has had my form 4 individual’s (all 4 of them) on her desk forever, she said it was approved to go to FBI on 4/24/19. I really don’t know how much longer it will take. But if she is telling the truth at least my paper work in progressing.

    1/20/18 stamp check cash date.

    452 days as of today.

This is my fourth application for the tax stamp, with three suppressors and stamps in possession already, so my eligibility isn’t the issue.

I’m betting on my entry in the “Over 500 Club” now.

Did you mean to 2017 or 2018 for those dates?

Oh no, I mean I bought August 23, 2017, my anniversary is on August 22, 2019 2 years! But it was not the NFA’s issue, it was the dealer who lost the paperwork for 7 months.

I get to join the over 400 day club as of today, yeah! I was told Monday my tax stamp was approved as of the 5th, funny no one said anything about that when I called that week, so just waiting for the dealer to give me a call if they receive it. Love the response I got when I called, they said “there is no rhyme or reason as to when a tax stamp gets approved”.

Check cashed 4-2-18, letter to congressional representative (that went unanswered for 6 weeks, before an aid replied) on 2-15-19, stamp came back 416 days after check was cashed on 5-23-19 13 months 22 days.
This was my 1st. It sucked. I would do it again without question. Hopefully the back-log shrinks! Happy shooting boys!

My congressman is extremely pro-gun/freedom. I was only able to get the canned ATF/FBI response through his office. I wrote letters expressing my discontent with the ATF/FBI’s performance and how this right delayed is a right denied etc. etc.

Nothing you can do. Since I usually have bad luck with anything I expect mine to either never be approved, or maybe after 3-4 years have the approval show up.
