The ATF is still working on April approvals, with a smattering of reported May approvals.

June submissions won’t be here this year, you can give up all hope on that.

Well I have one check cashed April 7th, I’m hoping it’ll be back before I leave for a trip in a week! I suppose I could call and check tomorrow.

Congratulations! Looks like you got in under the wire before the 41F crunch started, when it was “only” 6 months. ?

Mere speculation but to me it seems to be somewhat examiner dependent as well as workload. You get lucky and draw one of the old hands you get your toys faster.

Ok I take that back then, pretty consistent on times. Six months on F1, seven months on F4.

So the Efile for form 4 has been down since 2014?? If this is true, why are there new submissions on the graph?!?

A lot of people mistakenly put that they e-filed a form 4 when it was really a form 1. You’re always going to have people who don’t understand how to input the data and skew it.

As a scientist I would take scrutiny to the outlying data points, and use standard deviation tolerances to remove the erroneous values. There are a lot of people who fill out the points incorrectly on this website and it skews the actual data. For example I have seen a lot of people who put “Form 4 Trust” as the type and then SBR as the item. Is it possible they’re buying a factory SBR? Yes. But those types of points should have an extra verification process.

That is coming. I wanted to get the graphs back online so people would see progress. In the next few weeks we will work on getting rid of the outlying points.

There’s just that one point on F4 Paper Trust graph, 495 days, that’s compressed the y-axis so that the graph is a lot harder to work with. I’d really like to see that point deleted.

I called today, they updated the voice menu to say 8 months turn around time. A form from April 3rd is still in Pending status. I’m hoping it will be done before I head out of town in a week, but that seems slim. Unless they somehow approve it tomorrow.

Americans paid almost $100 MILLION in tax stamps, and they are dying to hire two more people.

    Update to former post.
Just in time for the election!

    Form 4 Trust
    Submitted: 3/29
    Approved: 10/31
    Stamp arrived: 11/8

Pretty fast turn around, as I was told that the stamp may not arrive before 12/1.

Looks like they’re updating the graph, shifting the dates a month or so to the left. I suspected they weren’t really into April yet…

The data was correct but it wasn’t communicating with Google Graphs. It has been fixed so we should be good to go now. If you see any bugs let me know.

There are still some from April but it looks like it shifted back about 2 weeks.

geez…….it just keeps changing, are we going to get some stable graphs? How can all the graphs be so far apart? How can what’s been entered be wrong by 2 weeks?

It is stable now. The issue is that Google was reading the data wrong for the graph. The data was correct but was importing wrong. It is good now.

Hey NFA Tracker team. I have seen a ton of complaints about the new website and no thank yous. I wanted to drop you guys a quick line and say thank you for your efforts and the new site looks great! Last time I checked, I haven’t paid dime to use this site/service and therefore appreciate you efforts much more than a paid for service. I appreciate what do and can’t wait for my cans to get out of jail!

For all those that complain well…. screw them!

Thanks for the support. This is something that people are passionate about so I understand that there is some frustration. Things have come along ways in just a week. You should see some new graphs and things today.

As I’ve said in the past if there is something that you want to see chart wise then let me know. I have a list of suggestions that we are working on. The goal is to has as much data as possible for the NFA community.

      hyla8221,
I second the motion! NFA Tracker, thanks for doing this thankless job. You have been responsive to my multiple support requests, I have not paid a penny for the info provided here or the utility of such, yet the site is constantly getting better (thanks sponsors!). Keep it upz!

You clearly have no idea how much revenue a site like this can make with enough traffic. I do appreciate the service but highly doubt it is being crafted without profit in mind.
