Submitted 2 form 1 paper trust post dated July 11. Had to file via paper because efile was down at the time. ATF ran my credit card on July 28. Right at 4 months now but nothing in the mail. There’s no NFA tracker on this site for form 1 paper/trust submissions (probably because most people are able to use efile) so curious if anyone is in a similar timeframe to me. I’m sure there were a ton of form 1 and 4 applications submitted at this time as it was one of the last days before the new ATF rules went into effect. Thoughts on timing and in general? Thanks everyone!

Update. Forms mailed/postmarked 7/12 (literally the last day before 41F) and card ran 7/27.

Reading through more forums here it sounds like I probably won’t see anything come through until 2017, thinking maybe February.

Guess that’s what I get for waiting until the last minute!

Still hanging tight and waiting for stamps. The average wait time for form 1 paper applications has increased from 6 months to 10 months since I sent in my paperwork. Was originally thinking I might see something in February. Now I’m thinking it will be May….

I am not seeing that in the data here but I don’t doubt what you are saying. I am still seeing 8 months from check cashed to approval/stamp received on the graph. Am I missing something or were you counting the days prior to the check cashed date?
Thanks in advance neighbor… (Also in PDX area)

Hi Darwhite – I input my transfer info into the track shortly after writing that post, so it should be there now. I was basing my projection off of the “3 month” graph as opposed to the 1 year graph. I figured the 3 month graph might be more accurate in projecting forms submitted in July because it will show the period with the most applications. Just my 2 cents.

I would tend to agree with the 3 vs 12 months for sure. I’ll try to squeeze in the time to call tomorrow and get my tracking number.

Shooter_pdx, I too submitted on July 12, 2016, and check cashed on July 18, 2016. Just curious as to your control no. Mine is 2017516xx.

Hi ctmrockwell. I’m actually not sure what my control numbers are. How did you find out with paper app? I didn’t submit an email address on my form. Do they come via email or do you have to call to find out? Thanks!

      Control Number 2017947XX
Operator didn’t indicate when I could expect approval but recorded message said wait time is at 8 months which would put me at end of February/early March.

I’m doing a Two-Stamp Gun (DeLisle Carbine) on a Paper Form One Trust. Submitted 20 June 16, Not sure when they processed the Cashiers’s Check I sent.
Got a call on 27 October from ATF wondering what I was trying to make, examiner said “We don”t know what this is”. I sent prints and a historical blurb the next week. I asked the examiner how much longer it would take, and she stated “A month or two at this point”. That would have been Christmas.
We are now past Mid-March, and it appears that I will beat the Ten Month Mark. At this point, I have to look at it another way – maybe I’ll set the record for longest approval. A year, perhaps ???
Also have a very straightforward SBR Form 1 out there sent at the same time, and have heard nothing about that one either. What could they possibly be doing ?

Can I ask why your DeLisle is a 2-stamp? I did a Mauser conversion to a DeLisle style clone and it is only 1-stamp. And, unfortunately, back when Obama was elected for his first term, I had the pleasure of waiting about 18 months for a stamp to come back 🙁 . You just have to forget your even waiting at that point.

I just got off the phone with the NFA Branch; They are currently working on submissions from the second week in July, 2016
I stated “So…… forms filed during the 41F push will probably be a year total to process, correct ?”
He agreed. He DID say that they should have mine done “Sometime in June”….
At this point, I have stopped thinking that the mailman will bring something fun.

Question to anyone who has received their stamp in the mail. Did you have to sign for it with USPS? I just checked my mail and it said they have a piece that needs signed for. I’m desperately hoping its my approval and stamp.

Due to an error (in a BATFE drop-down box re: mfg) on an earlier e-file F1, had to resubmit by paper (e-file down) on 07-12-16. They show received on 07-25-16. Checked 06-01-17 – over ten months and still pending. Advised currently working the second week of July, 2016, and would probably be another month until mine approved.

      Form 1 paper trust – (3 items, 2 SBR, 1 Suppressor)
      Mailed 07/11/2016
      Checks Cashed 07/13/2016
Sent back to me for address change because I moved in the past 11 months… for transfer tracking purposes this is equivalent to approval.
      06/13/2017
Entered into transfer tracking as 6/13/2017.
I’ll reply to this post when I get the stamps to give others who moved an idea what the turn around time on that process is.
(FYI – My understanding is that you need to call and tell them if you move. They will tell you what to do and it’s easy. It will delay your stamps at least a week or two while the corrected forms are mailed back and forth, but I was told the post office will not forward your items)
