USPS returning fingerprints “because the forwarding order for this address is no longer valid”!!
I just got a notice my Form 1 was disapproved. Why? They say they never got the fingerprints.
I checked the USPS tracking (Certified with Return Receipt).
The USPS tracking system says the item was RETURNED to sender “because the forwarding order for this address is no longer valid”. Shipment was returned to me apparently on Oct 31. But haven’t received the envelope back yet (Nov 20).What is going on at ATF?? I reconfirmed that I used the exact address at the top of the Form 1, NFA, PO Box 530298, etc. Also included the control number. That is the address on my shipping receipt.
Anyone else seeing this? Of course it’s Saturday so I can’t call to find out anything.
PO’d because the $200 is being refunded so I have to start all over again!! Almost 60 days wasted!!

Found the problem (posting so others will avoid the problem). The address on the Form 1 is not the address to send the fingerprints. The completed E-file Form 1 email you get also comes with a cover letter. That cover letter gives the address to send the fingerprint cards. I had only opened the cover letter on my phone and saw a barcode but not the letter contents. Starting over now… smh.
