      Filled mine on 5/28.

      255,5xx

Hard to believe that there is 2100 form 1 entered in one day.

I think that it includes form 1, 3 and 4. There’s no way that in one day there was 2100 form 1 submissions.

Just double checked and realized I put the wrong date down on my post #74923. It was submitted on 5/31/2016.

      Submitted: Form 1 – SBR – Trust – Efile 5/31/2016

I don’t know about that.. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit. There were a lot of people on trusts submitting before the 41f deadline to avoid the new rules and expectedly longer wait times. The end of May and June might have been a pretty big push. But who knows.. I know I was one of them.

    I’ll throw this out there,

I have a form 4 suppressor that was approved in 2013(rest are pending)

There is a stamped number on the top of the page and another, which is different, hand printed on the physical stamp.

Neither of the two number sequences starts with the year as these e-files do.

The hand printed number on the stamp is in the 900,000 range but starts with either a S0 or a 50.
    Example- 50900000

The one at the top is in the 30,000 range and starts with either a CO or C0.
    Example- CO30000

I see no other reason to start the sequence with 2016 unless it starts from zero every year which is identical to how most every law enforcement agency that I am familiar with assigns case numbers.

I held off after the initial request above because my data is three years old. However…..I am going to go out on a limb and say these numbers we have been posting, at a maximum, only represent items that are e-filed. At a minimum they represent e-filed form 1’s.

To clarify I mean a mechanical stamped number at the top of the front page.

And a hand printed number on the $200 tax stamp

Nothing next to the control number section it’s blank

the number on the stamp is simply the serial number of the item that is being transferred.

Great thread here. I sent off three e-file form 1s (trust) for SBRs:

    6/17/16 – 289,0xx
    6/24/16 – 302,8xx
    6/24/16 – 303,0xx

Still haven’t heard anything but at least I got my SilencerCo Omega from the paper file back in March (took right at 9 months).

    Hope this helps

Also, as an interesting (IMO) side note, I filed one late last year on 12/23 (created date) which needed technical clarification and was submitted 1/11/16 and approved on 4/13/16.

The full permit number on that one was 2016938xx. So notice that one had a 5 digit unique identifier after the 2016 prefix. You think that means that ~217,000 forms were submitted between January 11 and June 28?

Is anyone else having a hard time checking their approvals on eforms? I log in and when I press the + to expand approvals it does nothing… But I have prior approvals already I just want to see my two from 5/26..

I’ve had that happen as well. I’ve always found it either to be their site is just crappy sometimes, or more frequently that by changing browsers/computers it then works. Sometimes on IE it won’t work, but on Safari or Chrome it does. Recently it didn’t work on chrome, so I switched to Safari that same minute and it worked.

Last year the atf processed like 312,000 total transfers according to their revenue page. So roughly double that for this year, and yes I think it is entirely possible 400,000 of these were submitted by July.

The following four Form 1/Trust E-file SBRs were completed this year:

    Submitted – Finalized – Permit #
    2/17/2016 – 7/30/2016 – 132,0XX
    3/18/2016 – 7/30/2016 – 165,0XX

These two were disapproved, and I resubmitted with fixes within 48 hours via email, they were issued new Permit numbers and finalized.

    Submitted – Org Permit # – Resubmitted – Finalized – Final Permit #

    12/29/2015 – 78,8XX – 3/28/2016 – 3/29/2016 – 176,8XX (Org Permit number started with 2016)
    12/30/2015 – 80,3XX – 4/6/2016 – 4/9/2016 – 194,2XX (Org Permit number started with 2016)

I’m glad to see their back working. I hadn’t seen any approvals scene Thanksgiving. My patience is getting thin. I was hoping this week but looks more like next week or possibly the week after. I eflied a form 1 trust June 2nd. I broke down and called today and was told 8 months. The rep I talked to told me some bs. He said that they do every form in order. According to everything I’ve learned here that is total crap. I read here, posted in another forum, that people have requested to talk to the examiner handling their submission. I’m about willing to try that. Has anyone done this? If so then how did it work?

Yes, it’s getting irritating. I figured I’d see it this week. Mine was submitted on 5/28. But with the holidays it’s going to be pushed back probably another week at least.

I know that the wait is frustrating, I’ve done it many times. But what do you think calling and talking to the reviewer is going to do in speeding things up? Unless you have made a mistake in your paperwork (which they will notify you of) they will process your form when it comes up. Calling them only distracts them from processing forms.

Like the recording at the ATF indicates, unless it has been over X months, don’t even bother calling. (X has been 6 months in the past, now its 8 due to the 41F heavy load).

I’d rather have them processing forms than answering the phones for folks asking “Is it done yet? Is it done yet? How about now? Is it done now? Are you done yet? Hurry up!”

I agree. I know, as well as everyone else, the aggravation of waiting, but the two times I’ve called, I have hung up right after the recording says the estimated wait time because I know talking to someone will have no impact on approval status. They have no reason not to process them as fast as they can because if they don’t it will only pile up more and more.

The way I pass the time is work, shooting, reloading, and chatting with fellow disgruntled NFA purchasers to air my grievances with how long it takes. My SBRs came through recently, which is why I’m not on here as much as I was, and when my other stuff comes through in a few months (few… HA, I hope “few”), I’ll be on even less and reloading even more. This is the only website I’ve ever participated in the forum of.

This whole process is like having to use the bathroom. When you know you’re far away, it’s a little easier to hold it in. When you get close and can see the bathroom, it gets a lot harder. When you walk in and can see it, and you’re waiting behind someone in front of you, you start having psychotic thoughts because you think you can’t hold it anymore and the pain feels excruciating. Clocks start spinning backwards. Then you final go. It’s glorious. Happiness and relief replace anguish and agony. You walk out, and you think “eh, whatever, that wasn’t that bad.”

Devildoc what roughly was your permit number?

Hot off the presses from the atf:

anticipate an 8-month processing time for an eForm 1 based on the date of submission of the form due to submission volume. The form will not be assigned or reviewed until reached in the queue and, if contact is necessary, the examiner will contact you then. The status will remain as submitted/in process until final action is taken. When processed, you should receive an email notification of the final action with a pdf of the form and the form should also appear in the appropriate folder in the eForms system. Please contact the NFA Branch at 304 616-4500 for any status. Their customer service representatives can help you.

Soltrust it was 247712 and the email came in @09:00 yesterday morning by what looks like examiner J.A.Bauers. And on another topic of heated debate I talking with an agent the other day and disscussed engraving, I was told it’s not necessary since the Form 1 was filled out with the manufacturers info and serial number and the stamp identifies it as such putting the trust info on it would make no difference ?

    Form 1 E-Filed 6/6/16.

No word back on approval, judging by others it should be within a week or two. Will update on approval.
