I am doing Mod 9 executing tests with and without including maven surefire plugin.
    My question is
When we can by default execute tests(under src/test/java) in maven project directly with mvn test at prompt or from eclipse as well and also generate surefire reports with command mvn surefire-report:report,
then why should we use maven surefire report plugin and trigger testng.xml to execute tests?
What is the advantage of using this plugin in pom and call testng.xml for executing tests rather then executing tests without including this plugin ?
    Please clarify my doubt

    Any help will be apprecited.

I didn’t find the right solution from the Internet.

    Thank you.
