I don’t think “pending” status has any bearing on being close, but I hope I’m wrong. I sent my form in July 5th, charged card July 10th. I initially called to see if my forms were received in good order as was told they were not in the system yet and to call back. On a subsequent callback I was given the Pending status. My form 4 trust has been Pending for at least 3-4 months, however the BATF tells me my Pending date is July 12th-two days after my charge was processed.
