Reply To: Check Cashed Date and Approval Date?
I’m confused and need some help. I filed a Form 4 in April but the check has yet to be cashed. When I called the ATF to check the status, last week, they said there was a discrepancy in the zip code and sent it back to the dealer. The dealer made the correction and sent it back in.
I’ve got two questions. First, does my approval time start all over again? I’ve been told that it doesn’t and it’ll be just a matter of a few weeks before the stamp is mailed. I’ve also been told that it goes back to the “bottom of the stack” for approval.
Second question. My check has yet to be cashed. I’ve had people tell me their check was cashed once the ATF received it and some after waiting several months. Please tell me my wait time isn’t from when the check is cashed. Any insight on this?
