Reply To: Check Cashed Date and Approval Date?
My dealer showed me a letter from the ATF a couple months ago, maybe in Sept, for a guy who made a mistake on his submission (sent in prior to July), but the letter explicitly stated that he had to resubmit under the new 41F guidelines (i.e. with fingerprint card, photo, etc.). That scared me into double-checking my copies to make sure that everything was perfect so that I could sleep a little better.
Recently I’ve read online how people have been just submitting corrections but not necessarily having to abide by the new law if the original submission was prior to July 13.
Anyone else heard of or gone through this? I thought his mistake was simply forgetting to check the box in section 21 saying he was paying by check, but maybe it was something more making him have to resubmit everything?
