That’s pretty interesting to hear since what I’ve been observing on various NFA-centric forums is that current wait times are in the 7-8 month range as opposed to the just over 6 months that your conversation implied.
Looking at the chart right now, it looks like the data points are starting to level out at ~210 days after check cashing date. I’m assuming that the points are time from check cashed to stamp approved, not stamp in hand.
I’m thinking you’ll likely have your stamp in hand in early/mid-January assuming:
– current processing rate stays the same
– June 6th check cashed date
– 7 month processing time
– 2-3 weeks for ATF to mail your stamp to your dealer..
Hope it’s sooner than that, but you know. <shrug>
