If you are pushing for the fastest times, try and get your dealer to e-file the Form 3. There is a significant processing difference between e-filing and sending in paper forms. Your paper Form 3 will go into a pile for manual processing (entering into the system and hopefully without error) before starting the process of verifying the FFLs and approving. The processing time can potentially go from days to months.
